چکیده

In this note, we outline one method to perform shrink wrapping to eliminate the remainder term of the Taylor model integration of ODEs. We point out that there are many variants of this approach, and while the one shown here is perhaps the simplest one to understand, it is not necessarily the optimal choice. More about other possibilities at the end of the section. After the n-th step of the integration, the region occupied by the final variables is given by the set

Suppression of the Wrapping Effect by Taylor Model- Based Verified Integrators: Long-term Stabilization by Shrink Wrapping

The verified integration of ranges of initial conditons through ODEs faces two major challenges, namely the precise representation of the flow over the short term, and the avoidance of unfavorable buildup of errors in the long term. We discuss the method of shrink wrapping for meeting the second of these challenges within the framework of Taylor model methods. Illustrative examples of the perfo...

An efficient method for the numerical solution of Helmholtz type general two point boundary value problems in ODEs

In this article, we propose and analyze a computational method for numerical solution of general two point boundary value problems. Method is tested on problems to ensure the computational eciency. We have compared numerical results with results obtained by other method in literature. We conclude that propose method is computationally ecient and eective.

Taylor Model Based Verified Integration for the Volterra Equations and the Lorenz System

One of the important fields in validated methods is solving initial value problems in ordinary differential equations (ODEs). The typical problem of overestimation in interval arithmetic is mostly caused by the lack of information of functional dependency. The dependency problem that is related to cancellation is one issue to be overcome. Besides, in the case of solving a system of multidimensi...

Two-Dimensional Elasticity Solution for Arbitrarily Supported Axially Functionally Graded Beams

First time, an analytical two-dimensional (2D) elasticity solution for arbitrarily supported axially functionally graded (FG) beam is developed. Linear gradation of the material property along the axis of the beam is considered. Using the strain displacement and constitutive relations, governing partial differential equations (PDEs) is obtained by employing Ressiner mixed var...
